Vigil in remembrance: Zehri, Lt Gen Riaz pay tribute to slain cadets


QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri and Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Aamir Riaz paid homage to the slain cadets and lives lost in the assault on the Police Training Centre in Quetta on Monday.

Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri in his address at the vigil in memory of the lost lives said that the government had clear knowledge and specific information about the real designs of the terrorists and reiterated that we will drag them out from their cell and dispatch them to hell through determined action.

Zehri said that they had brought a map to convert Pakistan into another Iraq and Syria through acts of terrorism. He said that the brave people of Pakistan and the security forces would spoil their nefarious designs with complete unity.

He added that timely action by the Army, Frontier Corps and the police saved many precious lives of cadets by killing all the terrorists during the counter attack. The CM said he was proud of the sacrifices offered by the police cadets and said that coming generations would know about those sacrifices.

He thanked the role of the commander southern command in leading the counter attack by reaching on the spot personally and commanding the action.

Commander Southern Command Lt-General Aamir Riaz in his address said that the terrorists are mistaken that they are safe and secure while sitting in a neighbouring country. He reiterated that they will have to pay the full account of the blood of innocent people they shed in the recent attacks in Quetta.

He declared that the armed forces, government and the police is with the innocent people and defend their lives and property against any threat and in any form.

The vigil was attended by the civil and army officers, the Chief Secretary, a number of Ministers and a large number of females who paid glowing tributes to the martyrs.
