With the launch of Motorola’s moto 360, the smartwatch circle is now complete with LG’s G watch R and Galaxy Gear S already released earlier this week. All new smartwatches have essentially round shape and not to mention but all of them are serious competitors to each other. While the Moto 360 and LG G watch R give the feel of a normal wrist watch, the Gear S feels like a mini smartphone attached to your wrist with almost all the functionality of the smartphone with a few exceptions.
Features and common characteristics:
All of the smartwatches run on more or less the same software. Furthermore today’s trending features such as heart rate count and counting the number of steps you move are also provided by these new wrist devices. Keep in mind these watches won’t help you when you are off to take a swim!
Moto 360 and G-Watch R have round shape whereas Gear S has a predominantly rectangular shape with round edges.
When it comes to screen size, Gear S is the winner with the 2 inch AMOLED display followed by Moto 360 1.56 inch LCD display and then the G-watch R with even a smaller size of 1.3 inch OLED display.
