NWA Tribesmen Asked To Hand Over Weapons In Two Weeks


RAZMAK, 03 November: The political administration of North Waziristan Agency (NWA) has asked the dwellers of Razmak tehsil   to handover their weapons to the authorities within two weeks or else strict action would be taken against them after the expiration of the deadline.

In this regard, a Jirga was held in Razmak subdivision of the agency on Wednesday which was attended by Assistant Political Agent Razmak, military officials, Commander Shawal Rifles and tribal elders.

Tehsildar Razmak told TNN via phone that the residents of Razmak were asked to continue cooperation with the government in maintaining law and order in the area.” We gave them a two-week deadline for handing over their weapons. Once the deadline expires, stringent action will be taken against those who fail to submit their arms”, he added.

Meanwhile, the tribal elders assured the officials of the administration and Pakistan army that they never favored chaos in the area and would continue their struggle for maintaining  peace in the agency.
